Each year, our organization raises money and awareness through our Walk to End Alzheimer’s and The Longest Day events. Passionate volunteers are needed to rally support for these events in your community. Our support of research assures that we WILL find treatment and even a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
Help foster children, foster families, and foster support agents shop for new clothes in the AFC clothes closet. Appointments are usually set in advance. When there are no appointments, volunteers stock shelves, organize inventory, answer phones, and schedule appointments.

Gain vital experience in daily care and feeding of a wide variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. Duties may include cleaning, diet prep, feeding, observation, record keeping, and veterinarian care.
Learn how to conduct routine health examinations, nutritional analysis, fecal analysis, take accurate observations, and even assist with minor surgeries.
